Making today's music even more widely available, BMC presents three live streams in February 2018, available worldwide on Youtube.

The world is celebrating the 100th birthday of The Soldier’s Tale in 2018 by the legendary composer Igor Stravinsky. We are joining the celebrations with a special concert on the 14th of February at 7.30pm CET, following a one week International master class for young composers and conductors at BMC led by Peter Eötvös, Gegory Vajda and German composer Johannes Schöllhorn. At the closing concert, the participating young conductors and will have the oppportunity to conduct UMZE Ensemble and show the progress they made during the masterclass. The performance of Stravinsky's piece will be preceded by Vartiations on The Soldier's Tale by Aaron Holloway-Nahum & Alex Nante.

Opus Jazz Club will host two EurOpus concert in February, both streamed live. The 10th of February marks the album debut concert of Bartók Impressions on BMC Records featuring bassist Mátyás Szandai, violinist Mathias Lévy, and cimbalom maestro Miklós Lukács. The trio is interpreting Bartók’s pieces inspired by traditional music, such as Mikrokosmos or Romanian dances, sometimes with accents on their folk origins, sometimes putting them rather into a more complex musical structure. They use the richness of rhythmic and harmonic ideas as a bridge between the musical language of Bartók and that of contemporary jazz and improvisation.

On the 21st of February, the Grencsó Spontaneous Music Ensemble presents an international lineup featuring Barre Phillips on double bass and György Kurtág Jr. on live electronics. With altogether six musicians including composer/pianist Barnabás Dukay, trombonist László Gőz, bassist Róbert Benkő, and of course saxophone/reed player István Grencsó, the Ensemble is a celebration of total spontaneity with a great history of collaborations between the individual artists.
