The third occassion of the Egri & Pertis Piano Duo’s Crosstalk concert series, If Dvořák had told tales guides the audience to the magical and limitless world of storytelling. Is it possible to tell stories without words? What makes a music composition „fabulous”, and what’s the role of the performer in it? The audience will learn the answers to these exciting questions on March 22, 2020 at BMC.
The third occasion of the series which presents the links between classical piano music and other artforms – explores the art of storytelling, and approaches the topic with such great musical raconteurs as Tchaikovsky, Ravel, Rimsky-Korsakov and Leo Weiner, highlighting the interplay between art tales, folktales and music. Interwoven with the musical compositions of the concert, genuine tales will be performed by the Kossuth Prize winning songster and storyteller András Berecz who gives gives us a sneak peek into the secrets of storytelling in a short podium chat in Hungarian.
