Ármin Jámbor is a young, up-and-coming saxophonist with a sophisticated musical personality despite his age. This is evident not only in his virtuoso playing, but also in his compositions. Urs Hager's piano playing clearly draws inspiration from the treasure trove of his heroes, and he cultivates the jazz tradition with a characteristic sense of humour, both as a pianist and as a composer. Their quartet also includes Philip Zarfl and Oleg Markov, two equally committed Viennese jazz musicians. The bandleader Ármin Jámbor is one of those who are lovers of tradition. His outstanding talent was evident from an early age, giving him the opportunity to perform with world stars such as Jim Rotondi, Renato Chicco, Luis Diego Bonilla, John Riley and Rick Margitza. This time, he arrives to the stage with his new album Absence, released in 2023.
