“The Intentional Interference In A Recurring Dream”

Ángela Tröndle, Vienna-based composer, singer and pianist, has been part of the Austrian music scene for almost 10 years now. With her bands Ángela Tröndle & MOSAIK, The little band from Gingerland and since 2014 also as a SOLO-artist she performed in numerous clubs and festivals in Austria and abroads, among others in the Opus Jazz Club twice. She successfully released several albums. Beside conception and performance of interdisciplinary projects with video- and dance-artists she has always been composing for larger ensembles, for example by order of the Feldkirch Festival (Austria) or the Jazzwerkstatt Bern (Switzerland).

In 2015 she got commissioned by the well-known Austrian Lungau Big Band to write a feature-length program, that also features her as a singer. What came out is a series of ten songs that deal with very diferent issues: they range from the examination of memory and oblivion to the confrontation with fear, they deal with dreams and try to find an interpretation in the musical setting of those, they go to magical places by means of sounds and atmospheres, but also reflect to precarious matters of reality.

The Intentional Interference In A Recurring Dream is the musical link between night and day, dream and reality, past and presence, a link between a way and a way out – and it is the most recent work of Ángela Tröndle, it is her very personal story, that she sings.
