Jazzpince is a band of four young university students, founded in the autumn of 2020. The members, all of whom are interested in different streams of music, are also involved in the musical process as composers, so the quartet's material is shaped by a wide range of influences; the most prominent stylistic trends are hard bop, modern jazz, free and Hungarian folk music. The backbone of Jazzpince's repertoire is formed by the members' own compositions, which are given their final form during collective workshops. Their concerts alternate thematic and free improvisations, mainstream jazz forms and innovative, experimental solutions.
