Kristóf Bacsó TRIAD
- Bacsó Kristóf - sax
- Tzumo Árpád - keyboard instruments
- Juhász Márton - drums
Kristóf Bacsó is one of the leading saxophonists and composers of contemporary Hungarian jazz. His compositions are showcased on numerous albums, most of them published on BMC Records: live and studio recordings performed by quartet, quintet, and big band formations. Visitors of BMC’s concert venues may hear him perform frequently as a member or guest of various bands – it should probably be sufficient to mention that he is one of the leading soloists and composers of Kornél Fekete-Kovács’s Modern Art Orchestra.
In the last four years, Triad has risen to be Bacsó’s most pre-eminent project as a band leader. Since its inception, Triad has earned an important spot in the Hungarian jazz scene. Bacsó’s long-time collaborator, Árpád Tzumó has a remarkable feel for the Fender Rhodes, and shines through as a great ensemble player. Drummer Márton Juhász, despite being the youngest member of the trio, feels right at home in almost any style, with a particular taste for African rhythms.
Triad kicks off its summer European tour at Opus Jazz Club, performing material from their latest record, Pannon Blue (2016), and debuting brand new compositions as well.
