Markers is a band created entirely by students within the walls of Siena-Jazz University; Riccardo, Pietro, Alessio and Ivan used its unique creative enviroment to form an ensemble that allows each member to fully contribute in the music-making process, thanks to a close friendship and mutual interests. Even if their music is mostly made of original compositions and free improvisation, they try in every way to keep a deep connection with the jazz tradition, playing tunes of famous composers such as Wayne Shorter or Sam Rivers.
