The Szalóky Classic Jazz Quartet, formed to play American jazz from the 1930s and 1940s, began as a casual group performing monthly in clubs. Over time, they moved to concert and festival stages, even representing Hungarian jazz in Qatar. Their name reflects their focus on the pre-swing jazz style, though their repertoire includes later compositions. Their eclectic performance style draws inspiration from Ruby Braff, Charlie Christian, Bobby Hackett, Barney Kessell, Benny Goodman, and Louis Armstrong. While the members have played at Opus Jazz Club before, this marks the Quartet's debut at the venue.
Tickets are available for 3000 HUF on the spot, online at bmc.jegy.hu, and at InterTicket Jegypont partners across Hungary.
