In recent times, just about everything has turned out differently than planned, so after a year of omission and postponement, the Day of Listening will take place again in the fall of 2021. However, unlike many other forced changes, this thematic day in 2021 will only get closer to the spirit in which András Keller and Zoltán Rácz created this novel tradition of Budapest concert life back in 2015. After all, the Day of Listening is a privileged time for open, impartial and in-depth attention, and what would require and best prove the existence of this focused attention on contemporary music, than a series of premieres of new works? The planned program for 2021 promises the first public performance of new works by Máté Balogh, Gábor Csalog, and Ádám Kondor, among others. Concerto Brass, a new ensemble formed from Concerto Budapest, will also participate in the concerts, just like the Keller Quartet, cimbalom player András Szalai, and conductor Gergely Dubóczky.
Programme director: András Keller, music director and chief conductor of Concerto Budapest
